Congratulaions Glenn Barber Melbourne Marathon runner.

Today we had the privilege of viewing the Melbourne marathon from the sidelines down near the Shrine and the beautiful botanic gardens. We were there because Glenn Barber who attended the Mirror Ball in June, was inspired to raise funds for Issy as he competed in his first Melbourne marathon. It was such a thrill for us to see him come past at the 37 km mark looking as if he’d just sprung out of bed – he looked amazingly fresh, and at the 39 km mark. He completed the marathon in 3 hours and 25 minutes 5 mins under his target which was a heroic effort.
Via the Everyday hero programme and with support of his family, friends and colleagues Glenn raised over $2000.00 so that Issy can continue with the brilliant recovery programs that she participates in. Thank you so much Glenn for running with Issy in mind, and for sharing her story. We and she greatly appreciate all the effort, training courage and committment that it took to not only complete the marathon, but to set it all up.
